Day 1 : A night in the Sahara Desert from Fes - Erg Chebbi
Fes Desert Trip's driver will pick you up from your hotel or Riad at 7 am for an incredible journey into the Middle Atlas Mountains. The first stop is the charming town of Ifrane, built by the French in the 1930s and nicknamed Morocco's Switzerland due to its Alpine chalet-style architecture. In winter, it’s snow-covered and features a nearby ski resort, Michliffen. Next, you'll pass through the vast cedar forests around the Berber village of Azrou, meaning "The Rock" in the local dialect, where the famous Barbary apes, actually macaque monkeys, might try to share your lunch in their natural habitat.
Continuing through the Atlas Mountains, said to hold up the sky, you'll wind through forested peaks, twisting streams, and rugged rock walls before arriving in Rissani, a key town on the edge of the Sahara. Heading further south, you'll be amazed by the sudden, magical appearance of the Erg Chebbi sand dunes. At the foot of the dunes, your Kasbah or hotel awaits, where you'll be welcomed with hot sweet tea. After the long journey, you can relax, enjoy a delicious dinner, and listen to the soothing sounds of traditional Berber music before drifting off to sleep.
Day 2 : Erg Chebbi - Merzouga
After breakfast, you can choose your adventure: a stroll through the vast Erg Chebbi dunes, a refreshing swim in the hotel pool, or perhaps a shopping trip to nearby villages. Visit Merzouga, home to Morocco’s largest underground natural reservoir, and the small village of Khamlia, inhabited by descendants of Sudanese slaves, where you can enjoy captivating performances of beloved Gnawa music.
As dusk falls, your camel will be ready to take you on a stunning ninety-minute trek through the ever-changing desert sands, leading you into a breathtaking sunset. You'll arrive at a traditional Berber desert camp to spend the night in a tent surrounded by towering dunes. Your guide will prepare an authentic Moroccan meal while you relax under the star-filled sky, so vivid it feels within reach, accompanied by the gentle melodies of traditional Berber music. An unforgettable day awaits.
Day 3 : Merzouga - Middle Atlas Mountains - Fes
An early start awaits as you wake to witness the stunning sunrise over the sand dunes. You’ll then enjoy a gentle camel ride back to the hotel for breakfast, during which you can’t help but notice the mesmerizing play of shadows across the dunes, shifting and transforming as the day unfolds. After breakfast, the journey continues back to Fes through the majestic Middle Atlas Mountains.

- If cancellations are made 15 days before the travel date, 50% of the total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
- For cancellations made 7 to 15 days before the travel date, 75% of the total tour cost will be charged.
- If cancellations are made within 0 to 7 days before the travel date, 100% of the total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
