Day 1 : Arrival in Tangier
When you arrive at the airport, our friendly driver will be there to greet you and take you smoothly to your hotel. If you get in early, they can also show you around Tangier with a special tour of its highlights. To help you recover from any travel exhaustion, especially after a long flight, we’ve kept your arrival day free of planned activities. This way, we can tailor the schedule to suit your needs and give you a relaxed, comfortable start to your trip.
Day 2 : Explore Tangier - Chafchaouen
On the second day of your Morocco journey from Tangier, immerse yourself in the city's vibrant culture. Begin at the Kasbah Museum, housed in the beautiful Dar el-Makhzen palace, also known as the Museum of Moroccan Arts. Discover a remarkable collection of Moroccan artifacts, arts, and crafts that reflect the country's rich heritage. Next, stop by The Grand Socco, a lively square marking the entrance to Tangier’s medina. Take in the bustling energy, explore the nearby markets, and experience the unique mix of tradition and modernity.
Stroll through the Medina, a labyrinth of narrow streets filled with historic sites, traditional markets, and authentic Moroccan charm. Get lost in its beauty, find hidden treasures, and connect with the welcoming locals. In the afternoon, visit the Caves of Hercules, located about 14 kilometers from Tangier. These natural marvels feature intriguing rock formations and hold a mythical appeal, with legends of Hercules resting there.
Later, head to Cap Spartel, the northernmost tip of mainland Africa, where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean. Admire the stunning views, see the iconic lighthouse, and witness the dramatic union of the two seas. As evening approaches, enjoy a scenic drive to Chefchaouen in the Rif Mountains. Day 6 : Fes - Ifrane - Azrou Forest - Merzouga
After breakfast, we journey through the central Atlas Mountains. Our first stop is Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco” for its quaint resemblance to a Swiss ski resort. Heading further south, we visit the largest cedar forest in North Africa, home to Barbary monkeys, where you can feed them and snap some memorable photos. After lunch in Midelt, we cross the Talghomt Pass, taking in the stunning natural scenery along the way.
Next, we arrive at the Ziz Valley, stopping to admire its breathtaking panoramic views surrounded by lush palm groves. About an hour later, we reach the Sahara Desert, where camels await to take us on a guided trek across the towering dunes of Erg Chebbi. Witness a mesmerizing sunset from a high dune before arriving at our camp for the night. As the evening sets in, enjoy Berber music played by nomads around a campfire under the starry desert sky, ending a day packed with unforgettable memories.
Day 7: Merzouga Desert Tour
Start your day early to take in a sunrise that will surely be one of the most stunning you’ve ever seen. After breakfast, dive into an exciting Sahara Desert adventure, exploring its remarkable and varied landscapes. The journey begins at Merzouga Lake, home to a variety of unique bird species. Next, head deeper into the Sahara to visit nomadic communities living traditional lives alongside their animals. Experience their culture with a tea ceremony and learn about their way of life during this authentic 10-day tour from Tangier to Marrakech through the Moroccan Desert.
The adventure continues with a stop at the historic Mifis mines, once operated by the French, and follows the famous route of the Paris-Dakar Rally. On the 8th day of our Morocco travel adventure, we’ll enjoy a hearty breakfast at the hotel before saying goodbye to the sweeping Sahara Desert. Our first stop is Rissani, a historically significant city that was once a key hub for Saharan caravans. If it’s a Thursday, we’ll get to experience the vibrant souk, the largest market in the area. Next, we’ll head to Erfoud, famous for its fossil, crystal, and precious stone stalls, where we can also see how marble is intricately processed.
As we journey through charming towns like Melaab, Tinjdad, and Ait Isa, we’ll eventually reach the Dades Valley, passing through the lush Todra Valley, with its mud-brick villages and majestic mountains. The Todra Gorges await us next, with their towering 300-meter-high canyons that draw climbers from all over the world. After lunch in this stunning setting, we’ll explore the Dades Valley, admiring its unique “monkey fingers” rock formations and picturesque mud kasbahs. We’ll end the day at a hotel overlooking the valley, soaking up the serene beauty of this enchanting region.
Day 9 : Dades - Ourazazate - Marrakech
Start your day with a delicious breakfast before embarking on a scenic drive through the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs. Along the way, stop at Kela’a M’gouna to take in the stunning views of rose bushes and visit local farms to learn how rose water and oil are made. Start your adventure at the lively Jemaa el-Fna Square, where you’ll explore its vibrant energy and cultural significance. Wander through the peaceful Majorelle Gardens and marvel at the iconic Koutoubia Mosque, a masterpiece of Moroccan architecture.
